MTC have about 40 research groups and our key words are multidisciplinary, bridging, national and international collaborations.

The research group

We are looking for an engaged person that will be enrolled in a project aiming at understanding long-term effect of infections on the host. This entails work with infectious organisms, research animals, cell cultures, and the use of various methods to measure immune functions. Other responsibilities include development of methodology and work routines, literature review, statistical analysis, adhering to the lab policies, assisting with administrative tasks and drafting scientific reports and manuscripts linked to the project. Moreover the student is expected to prepare scientific presentations linked to the project.

This PhD project aim to equip the student with a broad knowledge base in infection biology, immunology, and tissue pathology. The candidate will develop a profound understanding of experimental in vivoex vivo, and in vitro techniques, as well as the skills to plan, design, conduct, and evaluate experimental studies.
